Congratulations to the winners of the Suncorp Wish Upon a Ballet Star competition!

Major Prize Winner

Imogen H

Age 11, from Gold Coast

Dance Tech

When asked how ballet makes her feel Immy said it makes her want to smile. She smiles in ballet class, on stage and when she dances at home, school or at the beach. The feeling ballet gives her is like how a seagull must feel flying over the waves at the beach. Imogen may not fully understand the importance of dance until she is much older but for now the happiness it brings her is the most important thing.

People's Choice Winner

Priya B

Age 10, from Nambour

The Dance Centre Peregian Springs

She danced herself right out the womb this one. With hopes to be a professional dancer, dancing is what sets Priya alight, and gets her up at 5 am before school to practice. When I called out "why is dancing important to you Priya?" to answer this question she looked incredulously at me and said "because it's my thing, it makes me happy?". And it has, it's always been her thing, her lightness and joy.

Suncorp Customer Winner

Bridie W

Age 7, from Redland Bay

Strictly Dance Cleveland

Every time anyone asks Bridie the question, "What do you want to be when you grown up?" she has come back with the same reply for the last 3 years...a ballerina on the stage. Bridie's whole world is dancing. School is hard at times for her but dancing is where Bridie shines. She loves her studio, she loves her teachers, she loves her friends and she loves to dance. Bridie says dancing is her dream....and she is working so extra hard to make it come true!

Thank you once again to everyone who entered, and may you continue to reach for the stars!
