When I was eight years old, I used to stand up the back of my little sister's dance lessons and copy what the girls were doing. No boys danced in her class. One day Miss Melinda invited me to join in. It was so much fun and she made me feel really great. I already knew most of the moves as I would practice them at home so I felt like I belonged. I still love dancing and I now dance three times a week and have recently finished my Grade 3 RAD exam.

A dance moment that left a lasting memory was when I was seven years old and I was watching my dance school's annual concert. I was watching the senior dancers dance on pointe. As a child I remember watching them and being mesmerised. I so wanted to be like them. I was with my Nonna and she asked me "Did you enjoy that darling?", I responded "It was so beautiful, I nearly cried". Nonna asked "Do you think you'll be dancing like them one day?", I responded "Yes, I will be dancing until I die".
I still love dancing today, it is my passion and my happy place.

A dance moment that left a lasting memory was my first ever concert performance on stage. I love wearing the makeup and costumes. It makes me feel grown up and special when people cheer and clap after our dance. It makes me want to keep performing.
